When we set up this site, it was our intention to show and comment on a number of techniques or forms, for you to learn and enjoy.....
Meanwhile, I started to think differently about that, because I think I am not in a position to tell other people how to tie their partner best.
There is so much more to learn and to experience myself and I want to focus more on that.
Moreover, I think that when you find yourself not being Master on the subject enough, you shouldn't pretend to be able to teach others.
Of course there are places and people where explanation or tutorials can be found. A number of them also know what they are talking about.
Know their "trade".
Below I am mentioning a few links to sites where I think the people behind it can tell and show you a lot better than me.
Bob en Chantal of
RopeMarks.com have their online tutorials under the name
R.A.R.E. (RopeMarks Artistic Rope Exchange).
They offer you a step-by-step explanation and a lot of background information about shibari/kinbaku.
They also give hands-on workshops. Now THIS is an absolute DO! Bob is a verrrry experienced rigger and great tutor. Chantal is the perfect example-model for this task and knows best how it is to be in a real GOOD bondage.
If you have the opportunity to follow their classes, you should absolutely do it!

In the UK Wykd_Dave and Clover of
RopeTopia have started tuition on a personal basis in workshops as well as online stuff.
Also in the UK is
Esinem. A very experienced bondager in the traditional style of shibari.
Then there is www.Japanrope.com. A very good site with a good number of tutorials. Also they sell great original bondage-rope (jute), but of course you found us selling rope too, so why bother ordering it there? ;)
